I've been busy the past few weeks with planting seedlings for our garden. So far we have 4 kinds of tomatoes, 2 kinds of peppers, sweet corn, kale, bok choy, peas, lettuce and cucumbers transferred in the garden. I have to do our Japanese eggplants and lots more (zucchini, pole beans, kidney beans, edamame soybeans, cabbages, and lots lots more!). We don't use any chemical weed sprays or any chemical fertilizers. We use only compost and manure from our livestock (goats, sheep, chickens).
My husband Manny is thinking of going to St. Jacob's market to sell our veggies there as we definitely need to make some income off of our hobby farm. Plus, manny's good at customer service and speaking to people. I'm the shy one and i'll let him do what he's good at!
Hay time is coming up soon so Manny will be doing that for us this year as my dad can't be on any equipment for quite some time due to his surgery. Lots to do!
